Information for the media

Please note that, regrettably, I am currently having to turn down the vast majority of media invitations due to multiple and long-term commitments. To reach me regarding participation in events, interviews, documentaries, etc., please send a short message to media (at) bernardokastrup (dot) com, which is for media inquiries only; no exceptions. Messages sent to this address that are not media inquiries will have their originating address immediately and permanently blocked. This moderation is done by others and I won't ever see your message.

Please also note that I do not read or respond to unsolicited messages in any address, physical or electronic. Essentia Foundation will discard unsolicited emails, letters or packages sent to me without opening them. So will Euclyd. Indeed, it has regrettably become impossible for me to (a) read/contemplate your work or provide feedback on it, (b) help you publish your work or gain visibility of any kind, (c) respond to your critique of mine, (d) have a philosophical discussion with you, or a discussion of any other kind, (e) coach you on anything, be it academic work or life in general, (f) etc. My only publicly-available address is the one above, reserved for media inquiries only. You cannot contact me anywhere else with regards to any other subject, except for my weekly live Q&A sessions; that's the occasion2 hours per weekthat I reserved to interact with you. I cannot do it in any other way or at any other time, and I appreciate your understanding this hard limitation. Much as I'd like it to be otherwise, my day, too, is only 24 hours long.

Bio

Bernardo Kastrup is the Executive Director of Essentia Foundation and Founder/CEO at AI systems company Euclyd B.V. His work has set off the modern renaissance of metaphysical idealism, the notion that reality is essentially mental. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy (ontology, philosophy of mind) and another Ph.D. in computer engineering (reconfigurable computing, artificial intelligence). As a scientist, Bernardo has worked for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Philips Research Laboratories (where the 'Casimir Effect' of Quantum Field Theory was discovered). He has also been creatively active in the high-tech industry for almost 30 years now, having founded parallel processor company Silicon Hive (acquired by Intel in 2011) and worked as a technology strategist for the geopolitically significant company ASML. Bernardo has most recently founded AI hardware company Euclyd B.V., currently in stealth mode. Formulated in detail in many academic papers and books, Bernardo's ideas have been featured on Scientific American, the Institute of Art and Ideas, the Blog of the American Philosophical Association, and Big Think, among others. Bernardo's 11th and most defining book is Analytic Idealism in a Nutshell: A straightforward summary of the 21st-century's only plausible metaphysics.
